Just like Blackham & its cow stables it needs to be torn down and utilized in a way to generate capital

BTW, spending this kind of money on these undeserving jucos has just got to be stopped.
Cutting to the chase, Ryan Street High is getting a new gym the Huey Long way.

You would think that would be its best usage, given it very high visiblity/access, but the master plan calls for it to replaced by a large parking garage, surrounded by academic buildings......that whole corner is targeted for 'academic expansion.'

True dat, plus those new parking garages end up being revenue positive as well.

I wish they would put one on the east side of Cajun Field. Parking for commuters, football games as well as Cajundome events. Lots of revenue opportunities there.

The master plan has shops in that location which will be a revenue stream 365 days out the year

The plan I saw had the shops along Congress on the north side of Cajun Field.

I always thought an (Eiffel Tower style footprint) (not shape) parking garage with footing on each corner of Cajundome Blvd and Congress with stores and restaurants above 6 levels of parking would be cool.

Automotive access on Lite Center and Cajun Field corners and pedestrian access from Hilton, Cajundome, Cajun Field, and Industrial Park.

I have a Boomer style request for some architecture students to get on it.

I would like to see it tied into the student side of Cajun Field and incorporate suites on the Cajun Field side. That would allow for student fees to pay for the structure.

Then have a presser with some planners and all of a sudden people take it as gospel, even though nobody mentioned where is the funding...much like the improvements along proposed I-49.

    Great advertising for Louisiana.

They probably didn't pay attention to the process at all, but you don't have to be paying attention to advertising for it to have a long term effect.
They may not have been paying attention because they were STUDYING!
