Eyes probably closed in prayer for a Dwight Pruhdomme or Ladarius Green miracle....and almost got it...be sure to stop next time!!!

........Another case of reading something into a post of another......Yes we want the Cox gone and yes I was at meetings to build a just dynamic structure of a fortress building attached to the new press box.....but with the baseball stadiums situation which I don't mind going in the hole over, we now just DON'T have the bucks, but we need a new press box and an athletics building.....he'll we have RCAF across from Fatima and the athletic at LITE, and a crappy press box.....btw I am just relating what Board members have told me ......... But just wondering what your game plan would be for the situation!!!

My daddy always told me if I was just gonna half-___ something, it's better to not even do it. This would be half-assing to the extreme. This area needs to be beautified ASAP. Build the plaza as planned!

I cannot believe T-Joe would want to keep that eyesore current athletics building, especially where it is at. It's clearly in the way of the APC and no longer fits the area. It needs to be torn down. Dr. Maggard, don't go cheap. The stadium also needs more than just a press box update.

Totally agree: demolishing the Cox must be a priority. Even if we don't build the tower or sports plaza for a while, it has to go. It is now an eyesore and bringing down the whole complex.....when we have a fantastic complex.

Because it was recently out to bid for demolition. Was abandoned because it flooded every big rain which meant mold issues. Also may have legal restrictions tied to donation from Heymann.

Tram is a dream. From the same mindset group that wants gondolas to Maurice. Planning is good, but that's too much weed...

Actually, over-head trams are not as far-fetched as some would think, and are becoming a viable option in a lot of situations.

Cox building being used for the players on the baseball team cause their old locker room has been deemed un useable due to mold issues that occurred during construction of Russo park.

I've handled hundreds of mold infected homes including mansions due to water. Total safe remediation isn't rocket science, and while somewhat expensive isn't a fortune.

I spoke with a UL employee a few weeks ago they are fast passing the new Dorms & looking to build new halls ASAP because we are running out of room for students. Not a bad problem to have as well as Engineering quickly becoming the largest department at UL

I have a couple of questions:
1. I heard the same basic thing, but no timeline was given. Did they give you one?
2. I assume that the new dorms are in the Youth Park area. Is that what you heard too?
3. And this may be more for Helmut, or other construction type peeps to answer, but once they get permission to demo buildings, is there a time restriction involved? I mean, before the demo of the maintenance buildings can happen, the new ones (behind the Ira Nelson center on Johnston) will have to be constructed.....and I haven't heard of that getting started yet. Don't know if they typically get permission to demo if they aren't ready to do that pretty quickly.
