I don't see it that way at all. We've got a lot of fans suffering employment issues, flood issues. I saw it as a loss leader towards those fans. Created some buzz, not all negative.
Also flash sales create the Pavlovian dog behavior. Recall the dogs salivating more for an occasional reward over a constant reward.
