We can be pretty darn good on offense. We can be atrocious on defense. I still don't see 3 more wins.
Can't argue about our fitness and depth issues on defense, they are glaring and dab smack right in your face. Hopefully, Hud and crew will utilize more players on defense, even if it's just "plug and play" 5-10 snaps a game. They don't have to have the complete grasp of the D scheme, just willing to hustle hard in obvious run and pass rush situations.

Anybody notice the azz crack on one of our D Linemen on TV? Seems like he had trouble keeping his pants up, especially with the huge gut hanging down. Why can't we get these guys to a better weight level? Would rather have them at 295 with no gut, in better shape, quicker and stronger than way overweight and looking so bad.

That was Perry and he had a hell of a game. Multiple tackles behind the O Line where he out quicked, out muscled, out manuvered his slimmer opponent.

He played great and I hope he looks the same every game he plays.

He was also dominant on the DL and in the Aggies face ALL day. He was our defense's best player that day by far.

Should this thread be renamed...everything changed for UL after Perry got tired at A&M?

This is my prediction. It has nothing to do with talent on the field. We are talented on offense. Talented on certain spots on defense. We lack execution and conditioning. All of that falls on the coaching staff. Mainly Hudspeth.

We are back to the Baldwin years folks. Limited scholarships and the players run the team.
That may be accurate if Davis is hurt all year. If he's healthy we'll win 7 plus.
