I do think one of Hud's biggest fault's is that he does not give 2nd string, or back up, players a chance to get playing time when various opportunities are presented. Especially the QB position. Because only one QB can be on the field at a time, how does he expect to develop future QB's when they never get playing time before they happen to become the starter? To me, when a game is out of hand, one way or the other, that is the time to get inexperienced QB's on the field to get some game time experience.

I agree.

I would love to see a study of teams who come out of the gate strong with new personal and how much playing time they got the year before.

I think Alabama and Nicholls would be high on that list.

I hope HUD is not rushing back to soon because he refuses to have faith in other players.. Hud raved about Nunez and if JD is dinged up, its better he rest. Using Nunez and ray in totally different qb packages could throw ulmost defensive game plan out the window.

One would think that Hud's decision is due to that he thinks an injured Davis is better than a healthy Nunez or Ray. Of course depending on the severity of the injury, I agree that an injured Davis is better than a healthy Ray. I would hope that is not the same for Nunez. I would have like to see what he could bring in the 4th quarter.
