Either you make it your forte or you dial it back. I love the offense I would love to see it continue.
Rarely do you see a super potent offense coupled with a shut down defense.
There is no time for the defense to prepare in an up tempo game and it might not have mattered if they did against Tulsa. They averaged 42 last year and seem to be picking up where they left off.
Hud was wise to go toe to toe ( UL's scoring percentage would have gone down with ball control) but in the end UL wasn't use to the quick thinking nuances of up tempo.
I do think UL should have stacked to box and forced them to go over the top, even if they were successful I doubt they would have scored much faster and it may have rattled the new QB.
