Tempo Changes Everything

All of this would matter if the point was to determine how close of a loss you had. And the only place that seems to matter is at USL.

The goal of the game is to WIN. In that case 24 is light years from 8. The rest of that is excuses.

That is the point the closeness of the loss is identical, the gap is identical.

Three times the action in the space of one game.

Either you make it your forte or you dial it back. I love the offense I would love to see it continue.

Rarely do you see a super potent offense coupled with a shut down defense.

There is no time for the defense to prepare in an up tempo game and it might not have mattered if they did against Tulsa. They averaged 42 last year and seem to be picking up where they left off.

Hud was wise to go toe to toe ( UL's scoring percentage would have gone down with ball control) but in the end UL wasn't use to the quick thinking nuances of up tempo.

I do think UL should have stacked to box and forced them to go over the top, even if they were successful I doubt they would have scored much faster and it may have rattled the new QB.

They could have huddled at the end of every play and still beat us by 3 scores, BECAUSE WE COULD NOT STOP THE RUN.
