Can't wait to curbstop these Oklahoma weaklings this weekend!
Then come next weekend, we walk into College Station as badass bandits ready to take Kyle Field from the Aggies.

You funny. I was curious to see if you were still on your 10-2 prediction path after the scare this weekend.
Well I had this weekend as a Loss to start the season as we worked out our kinks.
Therefore, with it being a W instead...11-1 on the horizon?
LOL. There is no chance of us going through conference without a loss and there is no way we are going to beat Ole Miss and aTm on the road so I'm thinking your prediction is laced in fairy dust. Every fan base needs some dreamers. Nothing wrong with being positive and excited. Hopefully (not likely) you will be able to tell me "I told you so" later on.
I'm all for positive thinking bro, but you must have not watched our defensive line get pushed around and smacked like a bad dream. If we project a 50 % improvement with our defensive line and linebackers,we will play teams with even better than southeastern which leads to every running back we face looking like Herschel walker.
We're a 15 point dog this week. But if Liberty can beat Baylor then know we're certainly capable of winning at Tulsa. Besides we're craving these AAC matchups.
Our D Linemen look out of shape with huge guts just to have the weight. Why aren't these guys made leaner in the offseason and report in better shape? Seems like they would play better at 285 or 290 than 315 with a belly they can't even fit their jerseys over. The announcers were commenting on how our D Linemen were standing around gasping for air with hands on their hips like they we exhausted. SLU linemen looked similar but seemed to push our guys around. I thought we were going to keep rotating guys to avoid the fatigue factor HUD claims cost us the Tulane game last year.
Well, part of it to their credit was that SLU ran a ton more plays than we did so they were kind of on the field more than they should have been. DL are supposed to be large fellas, especially the interior guys and ours are actually decent athletes. They are that big on purpose as we've been successful in recent years stopping the run and these guys you are looking at were a big part of that. I really think the large chunk of SLU's running effectiveness falls on our linebackers. Plus, we continued to run a 3 down line set against a team that wanted to power rush so those guys were seeing double teams all night. We need to put another guy or so in the box more often to help with the rush. We don't have the studs at LB we had last year who made plays everywhere.
Idk if we should be calling it a war path. Feels more like a trail of tears. And like the Cherokee, feels like bad things await us once we get to Oklahoma. Hope I'm wrong but two losing season and a bad opening performance doesn't give me much hope.
I'm with you. I want to believe that the SLU game was a 'one of' for the defense and they will look like the run defense we ended the year with. With an improved secondary, we are ok on the defensive side of the ball. I want to believe that with a little more imagination and proper utilization of talent on the offensive side, we will be demonstrably better than last season.
We find a way to right the ship at Tulsa and get clicking, TAMU will be looking ahead to their SEC schedule in the weeks after us and we start walking through our SB schedule with a dominating win against ULM. I can see it!
We're not reloading at linebacker. Our D line hasn't been improved. No way we're as good as last year unless Hill is a monster freshman.
