This is how stupid we sound when the "yea but" people get started:
If our staff would of had Davis run more clock down before the snap on 2nd and 3rd down up by 7 and under 5 minutes the end of the game, ran instead of thrown on third and let the ball roll dead inside the 10 instead of rush and down it at the 5, you would had been in the parking lot. There is a good 30-40 seconds of clock we gave SLU.
Poor clock management.
As I respect you opinion I will say this there are only 4 sunbelt teams that won and we are one of them. So do you respect a team that lost last night more than a team that won. it doesn't matter how you win or by how many points as long as you beat the teams you are suppose to beat and we did that. Lets see what happens at Tulsa then we will have factual data to judge this team on.
This was bad, bad football. WE won. To try to find anything positive other than that is risible.
WTF has happened here?
Z
And that's what I'm afraid of.Lets see what happens at Tulsa then we will have factual data to judge this team on.
Yes, I respect a Sunbelt team who competed with a P5 squad yesterday more than The Cajuns today. Next week those teams will get their cupcake game and be playing their backups in third quarter, as they should be.
Next TWO weeks Cajuns will be completely out classed same as we have seen last four years when Cajuns play a P5 team (and 90% of out of conference G5 games).
Like I said, I'm not writing the story of the year based on last night.
But comparing last nights win to anything (other than awful Geo St) is being naive. A 6 point loss to Nebraska is miles ahead of what we 'accomplished' last night. We were a bad decision by the QB on a two point attempt away from losing to SLU. I don't get the "yea but" folks..
