This game is a great barometer game. If we win convincingly, we 'll be happy. If by some chance we lose or barely escape, the natives will be circling huda wagon.
Hard to say. For a typical in-state conference game, we'll travel anywhere from a couple of hundred to Natchitoches, to 2-3k to Nicholls, depending on record, weather, etc. Somewhere in between is a safe bet. Considering Lafayette is an easy drive for our alumni base, and someone we haven't played in a long time, I think we'll have a pretty strong contingent, relative to what's typical for us.
Anyone remember that famous SLU alum, Max Chavin? Farker.
Zeph, we were not a good football team last year. We slept-walked through 3.5 quarters of the Poke game, and still beat them soundly. 30-22 is not indicative of that game.
It's a different level of competition. SLU is slightly better than McNeese was, but even if we bring our C- game, we should beat this team with zero problems.
