Yes but then they went on to play in the conference championship game and beat Illinois in a bowl game. He has been constantly winning since and hasn't had the off the field issues that we have had. Very different circumstances.

If that outcome does not occur, a new direction for this program will be under way. No offense to your guys, but this is not and should not be a fair fight.
Checked their roster. There will be no difference in size, in fact, they may be bigger and possibly deeper on the offensive line. DB's, WR's are big too. QB talent is there as well. Lots of highly recruited transfers, which is typical for FCS rosters. Always a danger if they have good chemistry and are well coached. Should be an interesting game.

Oh, we definitely should be worried. We have not been good enough, really ever, to take anyone for granted.

Wasn't trying to compare the programs or coaches, just reminding everyone that upsets happen. Skip, like all coaches, has a few off the field issues as well.

It might be, but it should not be.
Absolutely no reason, at this point, in year 7 of a coach, to lose to a D2 school. I don't care what the circumstances are. The fact that we have to have this conversation at all bothers me.

Fair enough, and yes upsets do happen, but my point was that some coaches have more room for error than others.

Yep. Agree 100%. I said at the time we lost to McNeese a change should have been made that night in the locker room. No excuse for it that is unacceptable.

You shouldn't have any reason since U(S)L doesnt play any D2 schools. Geaux to Hell y'all STILL have a losing record against McNeese.

Used to be know as D-1AA in football but then a political adjustment was made to FCS.

There was also a D2 at the time they were D-1AA.
