Anyone who has paid any attention to the D Ray recruitment and subsequent role on the team knows what this is all about..

Now I'll say, he showed the ability to make plays last year, so if Will Hall can find a niche for him, I'm all for it.

Article says scrimmage tomorrow is closed. I thought RCAF members and QB Club members at a certain donation level had permission to attend.

I hope Hall expands the Ray package some this year. Last year it was a zone read look with 90% of the time the being QB keep was determined pre snap. I would like to see a true read option with one of the 3 big backs and a third option to pitch with either Hoggins or Calais in the game. Dion Ray keeping the ball is much to predictable after about his 2nd appearance.

I agree with expanding his role and the formations when in the Wildcat. I would also like to see a limited passing role as well. When we initially put this in last year, Ray was extremely effective because nobody really had planned for it. After a couple games, his effectiveness was limited as teams then had film to prepare. I think we will need to incorporate some bootleg plays giving him shorter route options to hit but still giving him the ability to run if it is there. I think a running QB always needs a passing threat to truly make them dangerous.
