Now we get into desirable branding vs GPS branding.

The larger the brand the more imperative it become to focus on all things encompassing.

A Creole/Cajun Cooking School, Gator Cheer leader, Louisiana Band, All Louisiana, all the time.

Our brand will only expand.

There will be no more confusion between Louisiana and Louisiana State (LSU) than there is between. In fact, look at Texas State who more recently changed its name from Southwest Texas State. Certainly, there has never been confusion with Texas or Texas A&M or Texas Tech.

    Florida - Florida State
    Georgia - Georgia State
    Michigan - Michigan State
    Texas - Texas State
New Mexico - New Mexico State
    Arizona - Arizona State
    Ohio - Ohio State
    Oklahoma - Oklahoma State
    Oregon - Oregon State
I wouldn't have minded it. I'm just not as fervent about the Louisiana hype as you are. And I think changing Pride of Acadiana is detrimental overkill. A little contrast is nice. Imagine a couple wearing denim on denim, denim everything. Not a good look. Some in home decor went overboard with the fleur de lis thing. Too much Louisiana and we start looking silly.

That's what the BullGator Cheerleader accomplishes, it kills the silly with silly awesomeness.

I wish you luck with your gator aspirations. I'ld say it won't happen in a million years but crocodylia have been around 180 million years, watching... waiting...

In all seriousness a red, black or white Lacoste polo on gameday wouldn't be a bad look for you. ( Technically I think it's a crocodile logo but an alligator is crocodilian) You could show your support for our University, the mascot you know in your heart is ours, and your support of "Branding" and conspicuous consumerism. (Just kidding about that last bit) Hope your wife or kids hook you up. I'm excited and optimistic about our new offense and expect out defense to be as good or better than the end of last year. Hope to see all these hornets I've stirred up at the game. Geaux Cajuns!
It would be cool to open the season playing a game in France and having it sponsored by Lacoste.
