.......Thought the Cajuns looked very good today....RBs and WRs caught the ball very well....skilled offensive guys it sure looks like we have on the offensive side......also I think the biggest TE ever to play for other Cajuns...300 plus I was told and he did look it!!!
Is a 300 lbs tight end necessarily a good thing? I'm thinking a tight end should be big enough to block, but quick enough to get open and get to the block.
Believe our huge tight end had played receiver and qb before.
Says he has great hands. We will see
The big TE did catch well and had not bad route runs .....the flag/up were a lil challenging however! Lol
The question is not his hands or speed, its whether the coaches are willing to actually use him in all capacities or just their comfort zone. Again, Ray is a perfect example of this. I understand his passing skills are not up to par with the rest of his game but when he's in there, everybody will know exactly what we are going to do unless the coaches allow him to keep people honest by passing from time to time.
300 pound tight end...I know what Hud is thinking...he is the perfect guy to beat people deep over the top.
