I thought this read Tuesdays with Hark Mudspeth...
Remembering last season and some interesting happenings------S Miss defeated Kentucky and beat lutr by twice as many points----in the bowl there were a few bad calls by the refs and we had a chance at the end----yes we should have done better but didn't fold at season's end-----hoping for a great year!!!
The final play of the Ark State game involved their QB lateraling the ball backwards while being tackled. An offensive lineman picked up the loose bouncing ball and ran it in for an apparent TD. However upon video review, it was glaringly obvious the knee of the QB touched the turf before he lateralled the ball. People at the game were fairly confident the call would be reversed due to the fact that knee touching turf prior to the lateral was apparent to just about everyone.
Yep thats the one that got away and hurt the most from a fans perspective in my opinion.
The 2 times we got skull drug by Tech are the 2 losses in huds career, that I have the hardest time getting over. They made it look like we were playing an SEC power. There is no excuse for that to happen and Mark should have felt more pressure over those than he did.
