Once the turf is down (about two days) the only thing they have to do is cut in the numbers, hash marks and logos. That is about 10 days. The only thing that will slow them up is if it rains continuously for a day or two. that is not common in August. An afternoon rain shower will only slow them up for the length of the shower. I figure 2 weeks give or take a few days. (I have been engineer for two football field installs and that was the case for both of them). It's amazing how fast this stuff goes down.
I'm sure they do a good job but the last two years have seen higher than traditional rain falls, particularly in the summer time. Look at what we are getting now. I'm not sure how or if those chances will go down in a few weeks time but its raining literally everyday.

Granted, but the only time the rain will stop them is during a rain, they are not doing drainage or base work. The amount of work they need to do is only about 14 to 18 days. Like I said these guys are from out of town and they get in and get it done so they can go home for a while. I really don't think we will have any problems. Plus they can work at night if necessary because they can turn the lights on.

"The replacement of the Cajun Field turf is another step in upgrading our facilities while improving the overall experience for our student-athletes," Maggard said. "Additionally, it will allow us to host various types of events on the field and further enhance the game-day experience for our fans."

What other type of events could be hosted? Curious.

Jamboree became a possibility when the first turf was installed.

Dr. Maggard on BEV. Ragin Cajuns in center of field and Louisiana in end zones. Updated Conference Logo.

7000 Season tickets sold so far. Amount below last year. Disappointed in that number. going to do a push in the next week or so.

Good to see we're no longer in the "silent phase" of season ticket sales.

Wonder why they don't cover the turf in the offseason to reduce fading.
