New Swamp Turf Coming for 2017 Season

Could it be we unveil new turf then new mascot before football season starts? Swamp themed turf and a gator as our mascot?

I have heard from a very good source inside the athletic dept it will have a Louisiana themed pic look much like the basketball court but not exact same pic.

If it doesn't have LOUISIANA in the end zones that will no doubt the beginning of T-Joe bowing down to the name police up north and back east.

Basketball court has LOUISIANA on the ends... I think we will be fine. LOUISIANA is a natural for the endzone. I don't think there is anything to worry about here.

Could be the contractor is doing an install at another site and this is the earliest they can get here. See my earlier post. Two weeks give or take a few days is all it should take.

Yeah but I'm just concerned about possible weather delays and contractor timelines in general. It seems most contractors have trouble adhering to a certain delivery date. Sometimes the reasons are out of their control but other times they just don't meet them. Either way it just seems like we have little room for postponed work schedules and weather issues.

Unless its a flood like last August, I don't think the weather is much of a factor with turf.

Hurricanes are another matter.

No problem. We'll just play at Fabacher. Oh, this is football. Then we'll play at Lafayette High. Still tailgate at Cajun Field and shuttle to LHS.
