New Swamp Turf Coming for 2017 Season

How about "The Swamp" in the middle of the field, Louisiana in one end zone, and Ragin' Cajuns in the other?

hopefully we get red endzones with white LOUISIANA in them.

Hopefully the new turf is more resistant to fading...the pink has looked pretty bad for a few years now.

It's 10 years old...I would imagine it should go in the trash...we have kept it longer than most and it gets used a lot more than most turfs.

I agree. It's usually a 10 year lifespan for for high school. Most colleges get new turf every 7-8 years. Take into account the S. Louisiana weather conditions and it can shave off another year or two of its lifespan.

The technology of field turf has also greatly improved over the last 10 year. Remember plastic does not retain moisture. A lot of companies have made an effort to keep the temperatures down on the playing surfaces.

I know press box and tv and all, but what about focusing the logo at 50 to the "student side" so that aerial shot looks better!

Great news! I don't think I would change the design at all. Maybe make the FDLs a bit bigger.

I think some souvenir memorabilia might make some $ and sense.

I hope they put up a turf cam so we can watch the process. Not sure how long the process of changing turf takes. Will starting in early August be cutting it close for the Sept 2nd kick off? It will definitely eliminate scrimmages on Cajun field during training camp.
