We play at Ole Miss, Clemson, and La Tech on the road. We also will face three neutral court quality opponents in the tournament to be held in the tropics in late November. Opportunity for quality wins is there with this schedule. Home non conference schedule won't have any teams to get anyone excited as has been the case in recent years. Plenty of reasons have been given in the past for that situation and those have not changed.

One thing I did notice in the article was the move to not rely so heavily on RPI is being pushed back one year. They want to experiment with the other ranking tools behind the scenes before using them in 2018-19

Home non conference schedule won't have any teams to get anyone excited as has been the case in recent years. Plenty of reasons have been given in the past for that situation and those have not changed.

Thanks for reminding me how bad our home non conference schedule is. I'd gotten an initial boost of adrenaline when I got my big bill today. Then I'm reminded how Big Fish schedules to boost his win loss record, not the RPI. If only he'd scheduled two top one hundred I'd willingly pay another hundred on each of my overpriced tickets.

Anyway in the end I'll be reminded none of our season matters, it's all about three wins in March. After all basketball is a minor sport at Louisiana.

I'm pretty sure that's why they wait so long to announce the home non-conference schedule. They want you to renew before seeing what you're paying for.
