Default NCAA Tournament Committee Changes Bracket Process

    This could help mid-major seeding.

It won't help UL as long as Marlin and Brodhead are scheduling. In fact, it is likely to hurt us. We will get little help in columns 1 and 2, and our bad losses and equally bad wins will hurt us in columns 3 and 4.

We play at Ole Miss, Clemson, and La Tech on the road. We also will face three neutral court quality opponents in the tournament to be held in the tropics in late November. Opportunity for quality wins is there with this schedule. Home non conference schedule won't have any teams to get anyone excited as has been the case in recent years. Plenty of reasons have been given in the past for that situation and those have not changed.

Mike, do you have the date for the Tech game?

Thanks for reminding me how bad our home non conference schedule is. I'd gotten an initial boost of adrenaline when I got my big bill today. Then I'm reminded how Big Fish schedules to boost his win loss record, not the RPI. If only he'd scheduled two top one hundred I'd willingly pay another hundred on each of my overpriced tickets.

Anyway in the end I'll be reminded none of our season matters, it's all about three wins in March. After all basketball is a minor sport at Louisiana.

    Thanks for the insight Mike!

It would be nice to have a schedule prior to renewal of season tickets.

I'm pretty sure that's why they wait so long to announce the home non-conference schedule. They want you to renew before seeing what you're paying for.

Thanks for posting the article. The changes are a step in the right direction to make the regular season more meaningful. Speaking of meaningful, I'm hearing our new point guard (Stroman) will make a big impact this season.

Is it just me or did the prices increase by a good bit

Looks like my tickets went up by $100 from last year. Maybe we have more home games?

The excellence fee is $1 more than the actual tickets. Haha. Just noticed that
