I strongly disagree with you on "his hate for Hud is more than his love for the Cajuns". I have seen T putting in 5000 pounds of program love behind the scenes when the rest of us were sleeping. I'll never question his passion for our football program to succeed. He was pulling on the Cajun football rope before Mark Hudspeth could find his way to Cajun Field without a map.
As for Hud, I know people that don't even know T... that have never heard of T... that have never been associated with his "influence"... that literally hate Hud to the core. And they are Cajun fans to the core. Hud messed up with certain fans. That's on Hud... not T. I hope Hud can correct that blunder. T doesn't have to prove anything to me about his character. I know he's a stand up human being. If I read T destroying your character, I'll call him out on it. But you need to stop this BS about T's character.
It bothers me to see people attack him, as a man, when he is a stand up man. He was in the business of giving his opinion on recruits, players and coaches. Mark Hudspeth is not paid to give his opinion on fans. And when he is dumb enough to made the mistake of thinking just because a sycophant radio personality can do it (and not get by with it)... that he can give it a shot... he's dumb. I want a smart coach that wins AND doesn't alienate a chunk of the fan base.
Geaux Cajuns!
I don't judge a man's character by the way he supports a sport...being a sports fan is meaningless when it comes to character. Maybe some take kids playing a game a little too serious and that's the disconnect. Calling people on their bullsht isn't attacking someone's character.itd just that, calling them on bullsht. How about the players that used to give him interviews? Now they get to hear him talk about how they aren't good enough and lack talent and can't win...but they were good enough when he needed material for a radio show.
The local DA almost made it happen. But what T didn't count on was the fact that Hud will allow athletes to behave any way they want.
How do you predict we'll do this season? Give me your assessment of how well we'll do this season... both in wins/losses and attendance. I'm curious to see if Hud's first year of 9-4 (with a bowl win) and an average home attendance close to 30,000 ... under that starting salary and very few of his own recruits running his schemes for the first time... compares to his year 7 (salary, scheme, recruits) win/loss and attendance prediction you have for this coming year. I want to see if your love of program and neutral position on Hud is rational or irrational.
I know his character... and you are attacking his character with much of your post content. Even these last comments on "interviewing players... then assessing a lack of talent" being a "radio show material game" is attacking his character.
Everyone in the circuit of interviewing and talking to college athletes... that assesses talent... is required to be courteous to the athlete... and honest about talent evaluation. What's your point? If that's an attempt to discredit T... you're FOS.
Please don't attack my character by attempting to call me FOS. You don't know me or what I do for people. I know T as well and I never attack his character as a person and he isn't Jesus Christ our savior. He is man who is quite capable of being wrong and FOS all the while being a good person.
You're starting to become hard to converse with. No one has a problem with you debating T. But you are using ad hominem attacks to discredit him (oh Lord... a Boomer trigger for sure LOL). That is a character attack. Saying he milked interviews with players... but was then harsh on some about talent... is a character attack. That is not debatable.
And since when does someone post something or say something and not think they are right? T is one of the least regular posters on here that has a habit of pushing their point beyond the pale. I just can't see your beef with T. I'm done with this subject.
