According to Hudspeth in this feature, the UL Offensive and Defensive lines have been rated the "Best" in the Sunbelt! It has been a long standing thought by many experts that games are won and lost in the trenches. If what Hudspeth claims is true, he is running out of excuses for not taking home the SBC championship trophy!!!!

He also said last year was the best online that he has had. And we saw the result of that

I did not realize Hud is the elder statesman now in the sbc.

Sorry guys, but I am starting to get a little pumped.

Based on what I saw in camp last year, I wrongly surmised that the O line would be much improved and the defensive line would be a weakness... Got those mixed up pretty badly.

So idk. But seems like the O line has no where to go but up..

I'm thinking he rates them on how much they can lift, and not how well they block.

Hoping for a few "good" surprises.

This team can only improve if the offensive scheme is different than what Hud had in place. It was downright pathetic. The defense showed improvement last year under Lucas but would not be considered above Sun Belt average. Good at run stopping but poor at pass defense.

Should have asked if his shirts can get any tighter this year.

Offensive linemen are only as good as how tight their sleeves are.
