Wow, such a short life, such a nice young man, and a very good BB player. Condolences to his family with prayers.

This is sad news indeed. KJ was the best PG during the Evans years. (he was actually one of the few pure point guards we had during the Evans years.)

RIP Kenneth Lawrence
KJ#5 was the point guard of the UL basketball team from 1999-2003.He played some pro ball overseas and in South America.He was also a great friend to me and many other former UL players.KJ passed away in his hometown of Little Rock,Arkansas.This was a tragic event that occurred that eventually took the life of our good friend.Please pray for his two daughters and his family in their time of need. To my friend and teammate KJ,I'll never forget how we first met.KJ was my first roommate when I transferred to UL.Coach Evans did not tell me who I was rooming with. I walked into the room and all I saw was organized shoes and clothes everywhere.Then later KJ walked in and we met. He immediately said what you doing and I said nothing.He said let's take a ride and we talked about where we were from and basketball stuff as he showed me around Lafayette.Shortly after that we went to the gym. KJ wanted to see if I could play ball or not!(lol). For those that knew KJ know he was a strong talented competitor. From that point on we bonded. Beyond just basketball we became brothers like alot of my UL basketball family. I will always remember our great times.Much love KJ, Brian Hamilton
