Goalie survives wild day of travel, records shutout for Wranglers

Sitting in his office at the Orleans Arena on Friday night, Las Vegas Wranglers hockey coach Ryan Mougenel was feverishly working the telephone in search of a goalie.

The Wranglers had just beat the Bakersfield Condors 6-5 in overtime, but winning goalie Joel Gistedt was promoted to the San Antonio Rampage after game. And with the club’s other goalie, Michael Ouzas, ruled out with a concussion, Mougenel was understandably concerned.
