So did we sign him to a scholarship? I saw report said he was signed to grant in aid. Not sure what that means exactly
This is actually a good year to plan on bringing in a raw high potential player. Lots of experience coming back and little need for someone like McCoy to get minutes. He should benefit greatly from a redshirt year and he could contribute down the road. After all, plan was to redshirt Brown before he decided to transfer.
How weak, how not explosive? Weight room and specialized training can improve both. What cannot be improved are reaction time, height, and length. He may still be growing and teenage awkwardness aren't yet fixed so I'll defer to Big Fish spotting gemstones in the gravel.
