Thread: CWS Super Regionals

    Default CWS Super Regionals

....start Friday. Good article about Sam Houston's "pack" offense.

“They will bunt at awkward times,” Stephen F. Austin coach Johnny Cardenas said.

“Two strikes. Bases loaded. They will bunt when you least expect it. They have a lot of speed.”

During one of the games the Jacks played against SHSU earlier this season, the Bearkats laid down a bunt with two outs, two strikes and a runner on third.

    Of course it worked.

“You can’t coach against something like that,” Cardenas said.

They must have really bumped the pay. He was making a good bit more at Maryland than what VT was paying previously. Seems like a lateral (or even backwards) move as neither is a traditionally great baseball program. I know VT is doing stadium renovations so that will help. He will get them into shape.

Va tech is in a much stronger baseball conference that plays and recruits a lot more in the southern states

Szecf made a name for himself at Maryland, turning them around quickly after decades of mediocrity. He did well in Kansas and here, also.

Offering Lucroy (Luc's only D1 offer) after watching him play one game, will be one of his best gets ever, no matter how long he coaches.

Technically the guy who's now at Michigan turned Maryland around but szefc not only kept it going but advanced the program to a super regional
