Hats off to LSU because they were the better team. I don't want to argue the HR too much more, but this is pretty clear that it was foul. The pics are in reverse order. The 2nd one shows it behind the foul pole curving around the foul side:

A couple of points to make. One - how many times has anyone seen a right handed batter have a ball hook left to right like what is being proposed? Not that it can't happen but to me the pictures tell the story. Travis has the order wrong unless we now have balls defying the law of gravity.

If you look at the pictures posted by Travis you will note the number 152. Look closely and you can see a yellow spot clearly behind the foul pole screen. Height wise it is even with the number 2 on the video. The other picture shows it on the outside of the foul pole and BELOW the number 2 on the video. Gravity doesn't lie. Ball moved right to left (as you would expect) and hooked behind the foul pole. Unless you think the ball was still on an upward trajectory at that point.

Kelli Martinez is the only on the scene eyewitness I trust. Unless her pursuit and eventual need to visually detect the wall prevented her from eyeballing the path of the ball near that pole... I believe she had a bird's eye view. Of the "local witnesses"... I trust only her account.

I recorded the KATC news broadcast this evening. Included was a replay of the "home run". That replay was much clearer than any others I've seen today. IMO, slow motion replay shows it was a foul ball. No longer any doubt in my mind, not that it matters.

Nope. I watched the replay and the camera angle on ESPN was from the left side of home plate. And that's where it looked like the screen captures posted here earlier came from the ESPN video.

And it is just about impossible for a right handed batter to slice a ball down the left field line. They are going to hook it.

These are from Travis Webb with KATC. He was behind the UL dugout. It was pretty clear on replay as his camera was much more zoomed in than ESPN's from the grandstand area
