If the Cajuns were to lose Game #6 to LSU and Game #7 could not be played before the 11pm Monday schedule deadline, LSU would advance as the highest seed. This is because ...

- Each team would have one loss
- Teams would be tied head-to-head
- LSU is the higher seed

If the Cajuns were to lose Game #6 to McNeese and Game #7 could not be played before the 11pm Monday schedule deadline, Louisiana would advance as the highest seed for the same reasons above.

Brian what is the scenario if a game cannot be played today? If a team cannot play 3 games in a day. Do they eliminate the if necessary game? In my thinking UL would have to win game or be put into a tie situation.

Not sure where the info came that a team cannot play 3 games in a day. NCAA manual states the following: "No more than three games by any one team will be scheduled in one day."

Also note that the championship game only has to start by 11:00 P.M. tomorrow night and the "if necessary" game would follow thirty minutes later.

This is absolutely the worst thing that could happen weather wise. Stewart would have to win the first game. She cannot likely be effective pitching two full games in a row. Let both days get rained out or get two in today.

I remember a hard down pour for a baseball regional in BR in the old stadium. The field was flooded with the river right next to the ball park the ground was saturated with water. It was suggested a move to the Tigue and they said no way. They brought in a helicopter to blow the water off the field instead. But it was a quagmires out in the field.
