20% more sac bunts is no surprise to me when you had way more runners on base and opportunities to move runners over into scoring position. That team was pretty darn good at everything, SLG%, OBP%, SB, SF, Avg., hitting behind the count......etc.
They were pretty good. I said to my wife in 2014, "Pay attention cuz these are the good old days."
I'll bet its much better than 1 in 4 or 1 in 5.... thats where most of our hitters are right now... Good call...bad execution
........to be fair, I didn't put in the sac fly in a non squeeze.....as was mentioned, the pitch was high and wide which gives question whether it was a purpose placement to negate the play's effectiveness!!!
