That's cool. I wonder what brought Peyton Manning into town.

Yes. I go to every game. I've also seen more failed bunt attempts than I'd like to remember? You?

The Daily Advertiser has a yearly Awards Banquet and he was the speaker this year. Last year was Drew Brees

I was OK with the call due to points listed in this post. Did you guys know the Cajuns are 2,15, and 1 when the opponent scores 5 or more runs. ThAt stat illustrates why they make some of the decisions they do. It also indicates they don't have confidence in the bats getting the critical hit

There's another way to win. TCU as of last Thursday had only two sacrifice bunts this season. We just need to get better hitters. Easier said than done.

And Oregon State has 36 sacs this year (we have 44) and they're the #1 team in RPI and polls. And Louisville has 35 (also top 3 team.) There's different ways to skin a cat. Of course we want better clutch hitters too

That said, I didn't like the call at all. Especially with the infield in.
    Sensley was on 2nd

The obvious answer is you would like better hitters and to have faith they can deliver in the crunch. This year we do not There are a lot of ways to win a game and Tony knows his team. Getting at least one more in that situation with THIS team screamed suicide. Right call. Poor execution

Infield being in has nothing to do with it. It's a suicide squeeze....if it's down he scores. With runners on 3rd the 3rd baseman is going to be even with the bag or on the grass regardless. Runner is going on the pitch. Unless it is a rocket back to the pitcher he should score. We had a shorter bullpen last night and he wanted to get some insurance runs in case things got interesting before you could get to D-Mo. If he swings away and hits a ground ball Conrad is dead at home if contact play is on or Kennon out at 1st and then 2 outs. He wanted to try and manufacture a couple runs when he had the opportunity. Good call, bad execution.
