His peanuts are truly a Ragin Cajuns sporting event staple. May he RIP and serve some of the best peanuts in the world to the good Lord.

I think he sat only in spirit. Don't remember the date of his departure from behind the glass enclosure of peanuts, but I think construction of the ball park started after he fell ill.......I talked to his, I believe nephew, the last few weeks he knew nobody and did not speak.....I started to go and visit him but though that remembering him as he was at the Tigue would be better.....

As 93-year-old World War II and Korean War veteran Vic Kilchrist (recalled), he bought his first peanut roaster sometime in the early 1990s for $66 at a junkyard.

It took him two years to get it working right.

No offense, but who is going to pay for this bronze statue? They are not cheap and we still have to pay for a stadium, club house and coach's office.

The people that want to, the black jack statue funding was spearheaded by a group of people who wanted to. A memorial golf tourney in Mr. Vic's name would probably do it.
