Hunter was so good for so long. Buddy got in a car wreck fall of 2006 and could not duplicate that 2006 season again.

The four 2006 regular starters, Hunter, Buddy, Danny and Jason Fernandez had a combined record of 36-8. Hunter was 12-2 with a shaky bullpen. Buddy and Hunter had 5 complete games each. Unfortunately, the bullpen struggled that year.

Osborne was amazing in 2010. Wyatt's stats are sick.

The point I inartfully attempted to make was that Gunner's 2017 season with a sub 1.00 ERA is the most thoroughly dominant from a starter
I still regret that Fernandez didn't come back. I think he left as a Junior but was an 11th round pick.

He's the pitching version of Dex Kjerstad in 2014

One and done. 3rd consecutive season in High A for Dex. Must be a record. I don't think you usually get more years than that at that level. MLB drafts 1,200 a year and they really need the room.

Gunner at 7-1 so far, will get at least six more starts and could finish 13-1. I am wondering what is the record for season wins and can't find that on line. Anybody have a link?

I think Dex had been released by Kansas City and had to work his way back to getting signed by Miami.

I have found the UH gun to be on the mark.

There is a correct way to set up guns for maximum accuracy. The same angle and trajectory of the moving object is most accurate. I've seen stationary guns set up all over the place. Scouts can get ____ed if you move them from "their spot".

So you thinking they will reserve those seats right behind homeplate for scouts when reseating begins?

From what I've seen in person, there is little interest in accommodating scouts. I watched four of them removed from standing directly behind my 3rd row home plate seat 1st game of the year, scouting Gunner.

"We get in any ballpark in the state and can sit or stand where we want.", one told game management. "This isn't any ballpark.", the scout was told, right before police kicked them out. The athletic dept. generally has no love for MLB, much of which is justified, imo. Without being a top 3rd or 4th rounder, the experience usually does not end well.

I know I am totally biased and don't know how I would feel if I was in their shoes but you are absolutely right. If you are a lower round pick you are most probably just going to be a filler in a low minor league. Then in a few years you are out and without a degree.

Or you go back to school on your own dime.
