BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — The board of the state-run insurer of last resort in Louisiana will vote next month on a proposed increase for commercial policy holders that will average 4.57 percent.
After Hurricane Katrina, many residents in Vermilion Parish have Citizens Insurance.
Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon told The Times-Picayune on Thursday that his office has signed off on the increase and it will go before the board for a final review in March.
