Louisiana Opens SBC West Play Against Arkansas State

After facing four straight opponents from the east division in Sun Belt Conference play, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team will face its first west division opponent this weekend as the Cajuns host Arkansas State in a three-game series at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park starting Thursday at 6 p.m.

Do you guys have video available for this weekend? Was going to actually drive down for the series, but the Thursday-Saturday schedule put a stop to that. Could swing one day off work, but not two straight without using vacation days.

We've improved significantly from the team that got flattened in Myrtle Beach 3 weeks ago. We've got two back end relievers who are very good, and our offense is scoring runs in bunches. The issue is our starting pitching is more of a "keep the team in the game" type staff rather than a "shut them down" type staff. Our Normal #1 starter is injured, so we're throwing our midweek starter today. I don't expect much tonight, but we are the only SBC team to have beaten Leger twice over his career, so you never know.

Which I'm still a little miffed about as I paid the fee for all the spring sports as I was going to have to miss a few games this year.
