Not to sound dramatic but unless we can figure out how to hit, the postseason baseball team we're accustomed to may be fewer and far between. You're not going to have a Gunner Leger very often.

Jeremy Talbot is a technical hitting coach. He's a "fixer" of swings. He is a classic over thinker.
Matt Deggs is a guy that instills belief and knows how to call a game from the box. Totally different coach, even though they run the same system. Chip Kelly and Mark Helfridge run the same system too.
Yes. Didn't understand bunting decisions. Shoulda been able to get Antchak home from 3rd with just one out. Plus otheropportunities...
And when Monica was thrown out at the plate trying to score from 2nd, shoulda been runners on the corners with no outs instead of runner at first with one out... but hell of a play by Robertson on that one...
When you can't even put the ball in play consistently with runners at third, you can't expect to be anything better than mediocre.
I'm PO'd Our postseason hopes vanishing before us
The runners who were at 3rd with 1 out in the 7th and 8th were the most frustrating. All season Talbot forced his hitters to bunt in questionable situations and then in a 1 run game in 7th and 8th inning he doesn't even attempt a bunt with runner on 3rd base?!? Man oh man...
You really want to see this line up face post season arms? This same offense who consistently gets shut down by mid-week guys? I know that is is possible for the Cajuns to turn the corner at anytime but at this point we have a pretty large sample size and it's very clear that Oir guys are petrified to be at the plate with a runner in scoring position.
Sooooner or later this team will figure it out. I hope it's bf the conference tourney. Or it will be a crappy Memorial Day.
