And when Monica was thrown out at the plate trying to score from 2nd, shoulda been runners on the corners with no outs instead of runner at first with one out... but hell of a play by Robertson on that one...

Coach Robe sounded frustrated in post game about the inability to get runners in from third base with less than two outs. That has been an issue all year and strike outs often occur in that situation. It is perhaps the main issue with the club. I wonder what our success % is for that scenario and how it compares to the average. I don't have an answer for the problem however.

I am always a glass half full guy.... I think we have the pitchers to win a tournament... I think we will probably by the #1 or #2 see in the SBC tourney.... And a dangerous #3 seed in a regional.... Having said that and taking off my Cajuns glasses I am disappointed like others.. I thought things were lined up for a CWS run this year.... Handsome is a great backstop and a great arm... Notwithstanding his double last night his bat has not been what I thought.... Todd Lott is learning...The kid last nigh(Burch??) hung in against the #8 team in front of a hostile crowd (I could not believe we didn't have more fans.... it was all purple and puke around me)... Anyway I ain't givin up

We have zero attitude, zero arrogance when the only 2 people on your team with any kind of attitude are pitchers, you aren't going to do anything special. We might find our way into a regional but that will be it, which is still an accomplishment and probably means we won either the regular season or tourney but this team just doesn't have the attitudes it takes to go on a run.

'07, '09, '14.. We beat teams with our talent.

We've been pretty average, save for pitching, for 3 years now. We've continued winning because the team just kept coming at teams and the players held others accountable.

Another cavaet: As far as I can see, Deggs, Sim, Scheft recruited Personalities. Yes you had to be able to play, but your mental makeup was very important. Talbot recruits players. He is much more laid back and stat driven. JMO

Trosclair, Clement and Thurman must have been men amongst boys in that clubhouse last year.
Evidentially they "drove the bus"' and we lost our bus drivers.

Whether you see the glass half empty or half full, just more room for vodka and ice.
