What are we gonna do when Gunner leaves after this year? Along with DMo. And we don't have Jevin. Maybe even Marks. And any offense we do have will be gone as well.

Ok so Monica, Stover, Sinsley, and Robbins were suppose to be the pop in middle of lineup. Check out there HR totals, slug and RBI's. How did we miss this badly on this projection.

When you read the preseason publicity, believe it, then don't work or even care, this is what happens.
We can't even do the basic fundamentals.
How many times this season have we not scored a runner from third with less that two out?
Failed a lot more than succeeded.
If the players don't seem to care, why should we keep spending money?

I really think Gunner and DMO will be back. Wyatt will probably not be back next year.

What makes you think they'll be back? Not being condescending, just want to know what gives you that impression.

If I'm a pitcher on this poor offensive team, I can't wait to get out.

Also, things are different in baseball. You have negotiating power when drafted as a junior. MLB teams have you by the balls when you're a senior.

Slight exception. True top 1st round talent gets paid jr. or sr. Year. Not the case here.

We have never kept a jr that's been drafted in the Robe era

I agree, I think Gunner and DMo will be back. As will Guillory and Sensley. Now Marks will likely be gone.
I hope these Jr.'s if they don't go as far as they had expected, all return for next year for unfinished business.
Saying all that, if this team makes postseason, I think their capable of making a run.

We are a slightly above average baseball team....it's really pretty simple...we aren't fixing what's wrong with this team, that will take an offseason...possibly 2 offseasons. Everybody bring a Gatorade this weekend.

Draft slot and money offered. It's very possible they aren't drafted at all. Gunner and DMO are phenomenal pitchers, but they don't have stuff considered valuable to scouts. Wyatt on the other hand has a high velocity fastball and a plus breaking pitch.

Hunter Moody was a senior sign for the same reason. Look at Jared Poche from LSU too. You are right about players having more leverage their junior year, but unfortunately scouts value power over pitchability. I hope I'm wrong because those guys deserve to be valued prospects. It's a sh---ty system, but it's reality.
