They sure like to throw it around the infield. Not sure their infield looks postseason deep.

Heck of a job by Fontenot both 1) avoiding the tag in front of the plate just up the line and 2) touching the plate as he flew by. It had to be a late slide!

Aggression on the bases. Sometimes it works and you are a genius. Sometimes not. That's baseball

    Acrobatic slide by Fontenot

But there is a difference between smart aggression and dumb aggression. We had some spots in this game where we were dumb aggressive. The tag by Fontenot was smart aggressive. In that situation, you have a decent chance of making it ... and you make the right fielder make the play (throw) in that situation ... at a crucial juncture of the game. Even if Fontenot is thrown out, it is the correct call. In that case, you tip your cap.

Smart move by Robe bringing in Marks to face the top of the order. Keep that ball down, Marks.

    Nice performance by Huval.

So with CC throwing the ball around the park I think we would all be pontificating the wisdom of the aggressiveness if the catcher had thrown the ball into left field.

Sensley is going to get his by the time the weekend is over. I like his swings today.

And had the throw from right field been accurate RP would be going nuts rather than praising the smart aggression. As I type they throw another one away.

I certainly would not have ... I would not have been happy with the call in that situation ... but I would have felt fortunate. And the catcher has not been throwing it all over the field. That has been the infield ... including the pitcher.
