ICYMI:
Ian, when I heard the segment about cornhole games, I thought your show took a venture into the sex olympics lol. I never even heard of it until I googled it. On a serious side, Robe sounds like he s at a loss for our hitting woes etc.
This is all great. We don't score a lot of runs. Why because we don't hit the ball especially for hits when we do. Is it the bat we are using, is it the batter having problems hitting the ball. If so why don't the batting coach do the job he was hired for. Show the mechanics of hitting. If he can't do what's necessary, get someone that can teach the mechanics of hitting. Most on here think that's the problem, but never comes up in any post game interview. Even mention here, during the interview, that you don't blame anyone on the staff. If so we have a problem with communications. That starts at the top.
I listened. He says we suck hitting baseballs.
Take some blame robe....be a man...YOU and your team stinks worse than week old crawfish shells!!!
Hour 1: Coach Robe
Hour 2: Coach Glasco
Hour 3: Open Phones
Thanks for sharing Ian, solid interview. For those that don't have a chance to listen, here's some responses by Coach Robe. Looking forward to seeing these guys continue to battle through this and get better.
Minute 10: (Ian mentions message board chatter on assistant coaching) I'm not gonna give up on anybody. My job is not to let anyone quit.
Minute 17: If someone handed me a paper and said that said that you're gonna lose Gunner Leger, Handsome Monica, and hit below 200...well I would look at where we are and say you know I can understand where we are. Now that we can swing the bat better, you know...now we gotta pitch better, like we did at the beginning of the year.
Minute 29: Not gonna quit on my players, or coaches.
Minute 30: We've got proud fans, we expect them to not tolerate any of this. They want more, we gotta deliver more.
All apologies in advance for the all-wrestling portion of the show after Robe's interview.
I usually throw around compliments like manhole covers, but Ian is easily the most talented "talent" at KPEL.
