Thread: The Au-Zone Files 2017-2019

Love Beau Wiiliford and his callback.

Yvette was very good too (I can totally do without the "Then School Name") Proper example: I have never driven by a place called "Birthplace of THEN Kathleen Babineaux"

Loved the history. Alfred Lamson making the Lady Cajuns the popular thing to do was epic, but I don't think it rises to the level of having a park named after you.

Agree .... didn't move the needle advancing Cajuns athletics.... think I'll just sit here and read an archive of your posts

Default Coach Robe on the Au-Zone

Coach Robichaux joined me on the show this morning to discuss the Fall World Series. He also answered questions about Gunner Leger's rehab and Lochridge's eligibility.

Lochridge was placed on injury scholarship at LSU because of his back. This means he was still on scholarship but could never play again for LSU (so he didn't account for a roster spot.) After a year or so his back was feeling better so he was looking to see if he could possibly play the game again. Now on transfers you still have to sit a year at the new school. However UL and LSU both applied for a waiver so that he could play again since he could never play at LSU again. The NCAA granted the waiver so he's eligible this year. Probably can't be an everyday guy with some lingering issues, but he can contribute now.

Brennan Breaux (LSU) and Dalton Horton (TCU) are different because they transferred from playing last year so they sit a year.

Gunner is still in throwing protocol so he's throwing a little but they have to take it very slowly. It will get stepped up as time passes.

Common sense tells us that Gunner will not and should not pitch for Robe ever again...enough said...if you doubt me go the source and get the facts...he was mishandled...

    Default Glasco Interview

I spent a good 20 minutes speaking with Coach Gerry Glasco on Thursday. That interview aired this morning on the show. If you missed it or if you want to hear it again, here's the link. It's the first 20 minutes of the third hour.
