Hell yeah!
6 rushes, 29 yards (Long 11). 1 reception 7 yards. Think he'll see the field more next week.
This is only the beginning. He'll be a household name a year or 2 from now.
Did Eli score today. Didn't see the T D stat.
The Jets looked a bit better today on offense than last week. They mixed it up with Forte, Eli and Powell pretty well. Forte clearly the #1 and looked solid. Obviously he's not a long term solution though.
Eli definitely has the trust of the staff. He was in on a 4th and 1 run up the middle later on in the game inside the red zone. The play was called back on a delay of game or timeout (can't remember exactly) but good to see him being called upon in those situations. Can't wait to see him shake loose and rip off a 20+ yarder.
Read today that Powell is fading behind an old Forte and that Eli is expected to get more work soon
Forte is week to week with a toe injury. Should see more of Eli now, though that fumble he had late in the game Sunday didn't help.
He got some good reviews for his last outing:
