It appears that Elijah McGuire's season is over before it got started in KC. He was placed on IR effectively ending his 2021 season before it got started.

Exactly. This also allows the chiefs to retain his rights for at least 3 games (maybe longer) rather than cutting him at 52 and risking him getting picked up by another team

He hasn’t logged a game stat since the 2018 season. If he can’t stay healthy, it’s going to be almost impossible to stay on a roster.

Really hope he can heal quickly and get another chance at some point this year. He won’t get another 2021 preseason chance.
