We just aren't a very good baseball team, mentally soft...overall averages aren't that terrible...just can't get it done when it matters...we might toughen up but right now we are soft.

The 3 outfielders, DH and 1b are the only guys hitting over .260 on the season
You expect a better slugging percentage for his spot in the lineup, but the biggest issue I think we've had is hitting with runners in scoring position and walks. We have 138 strikeouts and 52 walks. I don't see that stat listed anywhere but I'd bet out hitting with runners in scoring position is well below the Mendoza line.

    Typical Robe squad.

Great pitching, sometimes over-hyped. Below average hitting that may or may not improve.

You can count on one hand the number of years where our hitting has matched our pitching all season.

It's frustrating as heck, but you can't argue with the results.

We're going to win 2 out of every 3 games this year on the weekends... we're going to do that because of dominant weekend pitching. We're also going to run into a team in the post season that will be able to hit our dominant pitching. Will we be able to string a few timely hits against those dominant arms we'll be facing in the post season? That's the million dollar question. I'm with all of you, this offense is frustrating to watch, but trust the process. We're still a good team even with subpar hitting. But will we become the team we were hyped up to be before it's too late...

Houston was a much better team, pitching, hitting and defensively...they knew it, they walked like it and acted like it. They looked like a team who wants to make a run.We don't have it right now, we have 3 guys who look confident at the plate and everyone in the stadium cringes when a fly ball is hit to the outfield. We look like we are just out there going through the motions and hope the game pays us back. I wonder sometimes if the players don't take Robe's messages too literally.

We have to get to the postseason first of all. If we don't win these rpi games, we will be forced to win the tourney bc our conference schedule will not help our rpi much. We are are not garanteed nothing just bc we suppose to be good and have a new stadium. Dominate pitching...yes we do have that on most nights. It would be nice to pair a good/great pitching staff with a team that can hit more than once every 5-6 years.

Care to wager sir? We will make a run this year and we will make the post season. It's the same broken record every year. I get it... our hitting hasn't been very good thus far, but it's like some of you have amnesia. This is a regular occurance year in year out. It is frustrating to watch and I understand why some of you are complaining about the offense. But let's not act like the sky is falling just yet...
We are 11-7 while the offense has been abysmal. What do you think is gonna happen when we see some semblance of a halfway respectable offense? We're gonna win a lot of games...

Frustrations are understandable. I agree with ppl that say something "feels" off right now.

We will know what kind of team we have over the next 2 weeks. Having said that, a team that can bounce back from being dominated the next night is a great attribute. I expect to see that tonight from our boys.

Man some of the Houston hits were so soft it looked like they were delivered with a folded Daily Advertiser newspaper.....the hit and run with Conrad covering 2nd sealed it for me-----not in the cards!!!

Some good news is, seems like we've found something special with Jack Burk. I feel pretty confident about midweek games going forward. The cat ain't scared.

1/3rd of the way into the season. I sure hope it happens sooner than later.

Don't know why he was the person covering when your pitcher is throwing on the outside to a right handed hitter. JMO
