The writer used Lafayette everytime and never referenced Louisiana. Just classless.
Despicable. What a shame that one of our ULS schools would be so petty and childish. Kind of like some of their fans who apparently have nothing better to do than count 'violations' of a stupid and unenforceable 'law.' But I guess if you live in your mom's basement you need some kind of hobby other than JO'ing.
I wonder what our new AD, and admin had to say about this?
That Tech writer is very small in the grand scheme of things. His base is what, maybe 50 Technical Ruston fans? On the other hand d1baseball got it right in his blurb on the game - at least in the body portion - despite being at the game and exposed to that bush-league T-ball operation at that shack.

GEAUX Golden Eagles this weekend!
Refineryville didn't need to promote infighting amongst UL-System siblings, they were constantly on the phone calling Baton Rouge and complaining about their big brother UL in Lafayette. In Louisiana culture like many other places, it's much easier to complain and create obstacles for those that are more successful rather than working harder or smarter to better yourself.
To you crazy @ruston trolls. The problem isnt with fans calling us whatever. It's with the classless way your "university" has treated our preferred name. Lafayette is unacceptable because it is not the name of the university. And it has nothing to do with how we feel about our city. Most people who live here LOVE our city and I am proud that the University of Louisiana is in Lafayette.
That being said, Happy St. Patrick's Day and Geaux F yourselves.
Great post. I'll only add that Lafayetteans are not the only ones who love our city: we have plenty of tourists and others who recognize what a great city this is. Compare that to Ruston, a town no one wants to visit much less move to. And that, my friend, is a MAJOR part of the @ruston mutts: JEALOUSY and ENVY.
