I would have enjoyed watching Bryce and Jay Wright play another game or two, if they were healthy.
This is the right decision. They had a nice run down the stretch...won 7 games in a row...beat the best team in the conference. They almost always gave good effort and showed that "never give up" attitude that allowed them to win 7 in a row (thank you Jonathan!).

I have enjoyed watching the CIT games the past 2 years and am disappointed but understand the decision. I wish Jay the best and hope he can find a way to get paid to play the game he obviously loves for awhile. Also i don't watch much ESPN but noticed while in a restaurant today they were counting down the top 10 plays of the college basketball season and Stove's shot came in at #2.

Just wasting away in LaLa land. Next year next year next year.
I am excited for Next year next year next year.
The next year view was not applicable prior to this season. Little was expected by most. It is reasonable to apply it to the forthcoming season and to be disappointed if improvement is not made.

I suspect both Ark. State and La Tech are not participating due to concern they could not cover the small fee to host.

I haven't heard Techs reason for not playing, but Arkansas State's AD said the decision was made by the coach and players. Their goals were much higher and they didn't achieve them. I find that point of view refreshing.

It appears Arkansas State is not participating, at least in part, due to its head coach accepting the North Texas job.

I don't think that is why Ark. State is not playing in post season. They also went into a slump at the end of the year. I think Josh's reason is the most likely answer for their decision. I see Georgia State and Texas State are playing in the CIT. I know their coaches have high goals as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing the transfers as well as incoming freshman Cedric Russell, who looks to be the real deal. I was surprised that at one time he was considered by some to be the #5 combo guard in the country.

Once Russell decommitted from LSU and signed with the Cajuns his star ranking dropped from 4 to 3. I don't know how we will do in college as he is more like 6'1" than 6'3" which may impact him defensively. There is no denying he can shoot however. A 50% three point shooter can stroke it no matter what level he plays at in HS.

For 2016-2017, for thirty-nine games he averaged 22.4PPG, 6RPG, 4.5APG, and 2.6SPG. He also hit 53% of his three's, 52% of his two's, and 86% from the free throw line.
