The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's tennis team didn't drop a set on the way to a shutout 4-0 victory over Alcorn State on Friday at Cajun Courts.

Abby Johnson started and ended the day strong for Louisiana, which moved to 3-6 with the win. Johnson and Lucile Delabarre teamed up for a dominant 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles.

The duo of Alexandra Way and Yasmine Ansari locked up the doubles point for the Cajuns with a 6-2 victory on Court 3.

The strong performance continued in singles, where the team picked up three straight-setters on the way to the shutout win.

Carla Ortega, who was close to a doubles win with Kelly Drew before the doubles point was clinched, had no trouble in her match at No. 5, earning a 6-0, 6-2 win to start the Cajuns off well in singles play.

Drew shortly followed her, picking up a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 3. Johnson clinched the match for the Cajuns, defeating Natalia Parchowska 6-3, 6-0 on Court 4.

Louisiana returns to Cajun Courts tomorrow (March 11) for a doubleheader. The first match is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. against Grambling, followed by a match against LSU-Alexandria set for 1 p.m. Admission is free to both matches.
