If it's not a washout
No excuse to schedule a school like this.
Hogan scheduled for Sunday. Hoping we have at least on rainout and maybe Hogan would be good for a few innings at Tech?
Bab must have been forced into this series.
They'll likely not get the whole series in, which would be a blessing. Tonight looks okay, Saturday is looking iffy and Sunday looks like it will be fine. If that forecast is accurate (a tough concept to grasp, I know) you're looking at playing 2 games of the series if Saturday is a wash. St. Peter's will have a travel day on Sunday that would rule out a double header and may shorten if not cancel any game started late due to heavy rain.
Like you said, it's simple. Don't lose to Saint Peters.
What about a Sunday double header, (2) 7 inning games, first pitch at 10 AM? Not something they'd consider?
Update - NM, I see the early start time for the originally scheduled game
If the bats go nuts, it's certainly a positive to take away some confidence, regardless of the quality of pitching. Some of our guys just need to see the ball leave the bat with force.
To add to my point... if you take out the first 3 games of the season vs Murray St, Hofstra, and Nicholls where we struggled out the gate... since then we have been hitting .297 as a team. That's our batting avg over the last 2 weeks of 7 games. Our offense is alive and well.
