    No
Coaches don't get fired for winning 20 games unless your program is UNC, UCLA, Indiana, etc; Next year will be a huge marker for Coach Marlin with the returning talent on scholarship. In the meantime, it is critically important for Marlin, Maggart and Harris to work together to raise money for MBB going forward.

To his credit, no one remembers who you play, most just remember he won 20 games most years....so what if it was against the University of Phoenix and I.T.T Tech.
Who was our last coach that brought in NBA talent?

Who was our last coach to win an NCAA Tourney Game?

Who was our last coach to get to the NIT?

Can Maggard insist on a stronger schedule. One with more teams in top 100 RPI instead of division two teams going forward. Wouldn't give him a four year extension until he finishes at least third for two consecutive seasons. He can crank out 20 win seasons pretty easily the way he scheduled.

If the answer to both of these questions is yes, then make the move and start the next era. If either is no, especially 2, let them finish out the contract (one more year if I'm not mistaken? I may be) and evaluate after 2017
I believe there are two more years remaining on the contract following this season. I don't expect an extension when this season ends. The current contract is not a factor in recruiting. Note, over 80% of participants to date want the staff retained. I bet the % is higher than that away from Ragin Pagin as the folks I speak to away from this forum are not even aware a change is wanted by some.

We only played 2 non D1 games this year. You are allowed 29 and we played 31 due to the exempt tournament. Therefore we played the conventional no. of games against D1 schools. Now I will not argue that the non conference schedule turned out to be a little weaker than expected. Schools like James Madison and Pepperdine were not as strong as they usually are. We did defeat a conference champion in UNO (won SLC over weekend) and were undefeated vs in state competition.

So UNO gets minimum of NIT. Good for them

Yep, UNO won the conference out right so they will be in NIT. I don't expect them to win the SLC as that will occur in Katy Texas. Texas schools will have somewhat of an advantage as a result. UNO also has a few seniors on their squad so they have been building towards this year. With some guys departing, Plaisance may have a chance to play some there next year.

Did we ever win an NIT game when Jessie was the coach? I don't think so. When we played in the NIT during the Jessie years, conference champions who did not win their tournament did not get an automatic bid to the NIT so things were a little different. I do like the new rule as it gives good mid majors another chance to play with the middle of the pack Big 6 schools (P5 + Big East is Big 6).

Jesse got talent we can't have now. His way of doing things died with the introduction of the APR. Thus, his struggles at San Francisco.

And I wouldn't trade Marlin for Marty. Ever.

I know you're just answering questions. Just putting in my two cents
