Need to tighten up. This game was in hand then a nonchalant error by Pinero, a few walks, a missed 3rd strike call and some hits and it's a ball game again.

Not bad ... and yes, he deserved a better fate. But one way I measure a pitcher is how he does after something goes wrong. This is why ERA is not the perfect barometer. While the run in the 4th was unearned, it was easily preventable after the error ... but was not. Then Guillory allows the bottom to fall out in the 5th ... wild pitch (fastball on an 0-2 count) scoring the runner from third and then the two run HR.

You need to get hitters out after bad things happen.
