Was listening to the game driving in from out of town. Around the 7th or 8th, we had allowed up to that point 4 runs that got on base via walk or error. There's your ballgame.

I'm shocked I just read through 17 pages on this game thread and not one of them was questioning the suicide call. Seriously, infield drawn in and only two outfielders in the outfield and we take a swing away from our hottest hitter? JT is an idiot. Stop being so ____ing cute.
It was. Izzie has been smacking the ball all over the yard
Yeah I want to blame the loss on not being able to get Jam Williams in from 3rd with 1 out in the bot of the 10th. That is one of the ways we threw this game away. But I'm putting it on the bullpen.
All we heard in the preseason was how loading our pitching was. How we were set up to make a run in Omaha because of our pitching depth
Asking a guy to get down a perfect suicide squeeze with the infield drawn in is putting a whole lot more pressure on the batter than asking him to swing away. Especially when a Texas leaguer, lazy fly ball, routine ground ball or practically any contact imaginable wins you the game. All the pressure was on the pitcher and we put all the pressure on ourselves by asking izzie to lay down the bunt. That's the definition of being too cute and trying to force your brand of baseball in an unnecessary situation.
