If you are starting him against Tulane (and this is going to be the tough game of the week), you expect that he will be going five. You do not bring him back on four days' rest after throwing five against Tulane ... especially this early in the season. That is something the LTU coach would do.

I guess we just have differing opinions on how much rest is needed after throwing 5-6 innings. And that's ok. I'm of the (old school) opinion that 4 days is perfect, and more than that can be counter-productive. I also understand that college baseball starters throw once a week because of the way the schedule sets up with weekend series. But it would be a one time thing to get him into the weekend rotation
