Love the idea. Hope BMag is reading..

I'm saying if the bar is being ranked, the entire SBC is behind the curve.
The point I was making is to the poster who said they haven't been tonthe dance in decades...well if we are perceived as a worse program than a team who hasn't been to the dance in decades...well where exactly does that put us?

We are irrelevant from a national perspective, there is no denying that.

Not this year. MTSU and UTA are a wash; both GA schools, Louisiana and stAte have marginally better RPI than Tech, the second best in CUSA this year. Also CUSA has only 4 teams with RPI of 200 or better, the SBC has 8. Last year the two were pretty much equal; before that CUSA was clearly better.

I meant historically, and to Hark's point, perception wise.

If he is, might I suggest an airport meeting with NMSU, UTEP, Rice, UNT, UTSA, LaTech, Texas State, UNM and stAte.

Would love for Louisiana to go on a run like MTSU has. Just saw they are now ranked 25. Although the SBC has a slightly higher rpi than cusa, we desperately need a team to crack the top 25!

We also need to get two teams in the top 50 and two more from 51-100. We can only do that if basketball coaches in the SBC follow the path of the baseball and softball coaches and learn to schedule for RPI.

Graylin Warner years from the 80's may be the last time we were ranked in Top 25. Wonder if we made it in either 90 or 91 when we beat Kentucky. Right after that we lost to UNO and played 0.500 ball in the second half of the year. As far as Rebounders go, meetings are bi-weekly and not weekly. I have only attended one this year as I now work out of town from Monday through Thursday. Therefore I don't get as much info as in the past. From what I recall however, most of meetings focus not on the side issues but on progress of the team overall and players in general. He addresses other issues when questions are asked. I will make you an offer. Agree to join the club and attend meetings next year in exchange for me paying your 200 dollar membership fee. You can then decide if the opinions of some are biased or informed. There may be a little of both in some views of course.

Mike I remember being ranked in top twenty five after that, but it was short lived. Or maybe we got votes, but I'm pretty sure it was top twenty five for a few days.

Yep, that Kentucky win brought a lot of smiles. UNO knocking us off shortly thereafter is one reason I state we lost enough to them back then we don't need to ever lose to them until time is no more.

I'm blaming the ASC for letting Floyd rough up the Cajuns in that early conference. Real officials were at the Kentucky Classic. UNO and LTUR would rough us up because they lacked talent along with the rest of the league.
